An estimated 180 Fiji National Provident Fund employees will be part of the Fiji Social Protection COVID-19 Response and System Development Project that will support cash transfers to the unemployed and underemployed affected by COVID-19.
Project details available on the Ministry of Economy website show the FNPF staff will be “engaged” through the FNPF.
“FNPF will not engage additional workers and the existing permanent employees will be part of the project,” states the project document.
The FNPF staff members will come from the member services department who will process and approve FNPF member applications and the human resources department who will assist COVID–19 Committee in resource allocation.
