Eight killed in Mansehra, Kohistan road accidents National May 8, 2021 MANSEHRA: Eight persons were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Mansehra and Kohistan districts on Friday. Police officials said a speeding truck rammed into a pickup vehicle in the Ichrian Interchange on the Hazara Expressway, leaving five persons injured seriously. They added that the Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the injured to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital (KATH) where doctors pronounced Muhammad Arsalan of Haripur, Assad Ali, his friend, both from Chakwal (Punjab) and another person as dead. Muhammad Khursheed of Abbottabad sustained serious injuries in the incident and doctors referred him to the Ayub Medical Complex Hospital Abbottabad. In another road mishap, four people were killed when a Dasu-bound car plunged into a ravine near Diamer-Bhasha dam on Karakoram Highway in Upper Kohistan.

Four brothers, including Khiyal Shah, Guftar Shah, Rafaqat Shah and Nisar Shah received bullet injuries in an exchange of fire with their rival group over a land dispute in the Battal area. One dies as van hits car on Hazara Expressway National April 29, 2021 MANSEHRA: A speeding bus on Wednesday hit a car, leaving a man dead and injuring another one at Pano interchange on Hazara Expressway. “The bus crashed into the car, leaving one person dead,” stated Amir Qadam, an official of the Rescue 1122. The bus, which was on its way to Mansehra from Karachi, ran over the Abbottabad-bound car, smashing it completely. Muhammad Rehman, stated to be a resident of the Battal Chatter area of the district, died on the spot and his friend received serious injuries and was rushed to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, wherefrom he was referred to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad.

The vehicle was on its way to Balakot from Mansehra when the driver lost control over it while negotiating a sharp turn. The Rescue 1122 officials pulled both the injured out after cutting the badly damaged vehicle and rushed them to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced Mohammad Waqas dead while Said Ghulam was referred to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad. The police, after lodging FIR, started investigation. 10 wounded in clash: Meanwhile, 10 people sustained critical injuries when two rival groups attacked each other with clubs and axes in Shinkiari area.
