Banksy's 'Aachoo!!' removed from house in Bristol

BBC News Published image captionThe Banksy mural - which appeared in December - was removed by workmen using a crane The Banksy artwork Aachoo!! which appeared on a house in Bristol at the end of last year has been removed. The mural, which appeared on the side of a semi-detached house in Totterdown, depicts a woman sneezing so hard that she loses her false teeth. A crane was used to lift the work from the wall on Friday afternoon. It is not clear whether it has been removed for sale but gallery owner John Brandler said when he was offered it he told the owner to give it to Bristol.

New owners of house where Banksy painted his latest work 'Aachoo!' are branded 'mean spirited'

The new owners of the house where Banksy left his latest artwork have been branded mean spirited after boarding it up so it can t be seen.  The mural, entitled Aachoo! , appeared overnight in December on the side of a semi-detached property in Totterdown - on England s steepest road.  It depicts an elderly woman sneezing, creating the illusion that the force of the pensioner s sneeze had knocked over houses built above it.  However, Banksy s latest artwork, in his hometown of Bristol, has now been hidden from view after large wooden scaffolding was constructed around the external wall.  It is unclear why the boards were installed.

Resources available to help older population get COVID vaccine

Resources available to help older population get COVID vaccine WWNY Resources available to help older population get COVID vaccine By Lexi Bruening | January 27, 2021 at 2:32 PM EST - Updated January 27 at 6:25 PM WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Frustrations grow as people age 65 and up try to register for an appointment, or even get updates on the COVID-19 vaccine. That can be hard when a majority of the work is done online. However, there are resources and places that can help. The Northern Regional Center For Independent Living in Watertown is inundated with calls - all asking the same questions. “How do I keep moving forward with the vaccination process when there’s so many questions? Do I have a car? Can I drive? Do I have a computer? Is there internet access,” said Aileen Martin, executive director, NRCIL.

This Bristol home sees price boosted by millions thanks to Banksy

As a result the house is now thought to be worth in the region of £5million. Unsurprisingly, Aileen put the sale on hold for 48 hours to think again about her asking price.  The Banksy effect is just one example of an extraneous factor influencing a property s price or saleability. Being previously owned by a celebrity is another. James Greenwood, a property search agent with Stacks, doubts that having a famous owner adds much to the actual value of a property, but it is beneficial in other ways. It s a good hook to capture interest and garner publicity, he says. That whiff of excitement around the owner increases the kerb appeal and gets potential buyers through the door.
