The latest Covid data for Cornwall has been published as national cases increase by almost 1,500 extra on the previous day. Today s update shows 21 new cases of the virus for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in the last 24 hours, following 25 cases yesterday, which puts the overall total since the start of the pandemic at 14,411. Weekly cases, which are on a delay, have risen by five to 33 in the seven days leading up to June 4 – the last five days not showing due to incomplete data – marking a rise from 28 yesterday. The weekly average case rate for Cornwall has risen again to 5.8 cases per 100,000 people from 4.9 yesterday.
