The Duke of Edinburgh was an incredibly active man, who enjoyed good health well into his later years. But as his age advanced beyond 90, concerns for his well-being increased after he faced a number of scares. Abdominal surgery, bladder infections, a blocked coronary artery and a hip replacement saw him admitted to hospital on a number of occasions.
