Imo Traditional Rulers Endorse Move To Recall Of Ex-governor, Okorocha From Senate
The decision was taken on Monday after the 48-hour ultimatum given to Okorocha to apologise to Imo people, expired. Okorocha had been asked to apologise for unsealing the Royal Palm Spring Hotel and Apartment linked to his wife, which the government had already sealed.

The traditional ruler of Amaifeke in the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo state, Eze Emmanuel Okeke, alongside other traditional rulers in the zone and Orlu Zone Political Consultative Assembly, OPOCA, have agreed to activate the recall process of Senator Rochas Okorocha, who represents Imo West Senatorial District.

Orlu zone traditional rulers and Orlu zone political consultative Assembly, OPOCA, yesterday agreed to activate the recall process of Senator Rochas Okorocha, representing Imo West Senatorial district.
This decision was taken at the palace of the traditional ruler of Amaifeke in the Orlu local government area of Imo state, Eze Emmanuel Okeke.
This is coming after the 48 hours given to Okorocha to apologize to Imo people had expired for causing crises by unsealing the government sealed Royal Palm spring hotel and apartment linked to his wife.

Protesters urge Buhari, Buni to intervene
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State has condemned the clash between supporters of Senator Rochas Okorocha and the state governor, Hope Uzodinma, urging the duo not to turn the state into a theatre of war.
The supporters of Okorocha and Uzodinma had clashed on Sunday over the sealing of Royal Spring Palm Estate Hotel, Akachi, by the state government. Two persons were reportedly killed during the clash. APC in the state is enmeshed in a crisis following the political differences and feud between Okorocha and Uzodinma.
The party, through its Publicity Secretary Ogubundu Nwadike, said it was utterly disgusting that the present APC government in the state has turned Imo into a terror zone, theatre of war and conflict.

The Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday accused the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, and a former governor of the State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, of turning the state into a war zone.
This is coming as the South-East Governors Forum has waded into the impasse between Uzodimma, and Okorocha.
The PDP spokesperson in the state, Mr. Ogubundu Nwadike, in a statement issued yesterday said that the clash between the supporters of Okorocha and Uzodinma on Sunday at Royal Spring Estate, Owerri, was “disgusting”.
The statement alleged that the actions of Uzodimma and Okorocha were causing tension and apprehension in the state.
