A father-of-four whose major surgery was delayed for months due to the pandemic died after suffering complications and ‘catastrophic’ bleeding.

A 22-year-old cyclist has been taken to hospital after a hit-and-run in a city centre road.
Emergency services were called to Bucknall Road, in Hanley, at around 8.15pm yesterday (May 24).
The woman was taken to hospital after the collision which also involved a blue Ford.

Paramedics rushed a man to hospital after he was hit by a train in Staffordshire - but were unable to save his life.
