Bangladesh approves World Bank, AIIB co-funded rural water supply, sanitation project

Adjust font size: DHAKA, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) Bangladesh s highest economic policy-making body has approved a World Bank and AIIB co-funded project worth around 19 billion taka (about 220 million U. S. dollars), a rural water supply and sanitation project. The project was approved at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday. After the meeting, Bangladesh s Planning Division Senior Secretary Md Ashadul Islam told the media that a total of five projects including the rural water supply and sanitation project involving an estimated cost of 33.08 billion taka were approved.
