Jammu, May 7: To take first hand appraisal of the infrastructure and patient care management in COVID care Hospitals, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Chest Disease & TB Hospital Jammu and Government Medical College Jammu.
During his visits, he enquired about number of patients being treated in the hospitals, patients discharged after recovery and availability of oxygen support beds.
While inspecting the functionality of Oxygen Generation Plants in the Hospitals, Sinha directed for effective rationalization of available resources to cater to the requirements of the patients.

KUPWARA: Mohammad Ashraf Khan Sehrai was born in Tekipora (Lolab) in Kupwara in 1944. He was the youngest among three brothers, Mohammad Yousuf Khan (dead 2016) and Qamar-ud-Din Khan, a Jamaat-e-Islami veteran (died in 2009). Seharie died at the age of 77.

Deeply saddened to know about Ashraf Sehrai sahab’s sudden demise. Like him countless political prisoners & other detainees from J&K continue to be jailed purely for their ideologies & thought process. In today’s India one pays a price with his life for dissent.

According to an official release, the patients can book their appointment from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm on all working days. The OPD services will be operational from the respective OPD Sections from 10:00 am to 02:00 pm. The appointments will be given by the respective Department Staff nominated by the concerned HoD by a dedicated Sim already provided to each department. The dedicated Sim will be operational from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm on all working days for fixing the appointment, the release said.
The patients who will get the appointment shall be present at the Registration Counter (10:00 am to 12:00 Noon) with a valid identity card.

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Apr 15: In a series of COVID control measures, the Jammu and Kashmir Government today deferred biannual Darbar Move to Srinagar, cancelled remaining Class 10th exams and postponed Class 12th papers, extended closure of all schools up to and including Class 12th till April 30 and ordered testing of all incoming travelers at Lakhanpur, inter-State movers at Thandi Khui in Samba and closure of coaching centres as the Union Territory recorded four more Corona casualties and 1141 cases.
