The Board of Directors of the Nebraska Cattlemen Association has prioritized their state legislative goals for 2021. Cattlemen Vice President of Government Affairs Ashley (COOLS) Kohls says their goals this year are more diverse than past years when they focused mostly on taxes. She says there are three brand bills they’re looking at including two they’re backing and one they’re opposing.
She says they’re opposing LB 641, Senator Erdman’s bill that would eliminate registered feedlot provisions. Kohls says they want State Senators to pass legislation to increase broadband access and infrastructure.
