By those numbers, the state would experience a growth rate of 1.6 percent each year. It’s a slower growth rate than the one recorded between 2009 and 2019 at 1.9 percent each year. The state would still experience a higher growth rate than the national average, which is projected at 0.4 percent each year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Governor Doug Ducey lauded the report and acknowledged electric vehicle and manufacturing companies that have created facilities in Arizona.
