FireSmart Application Assistant Fire Chief Will Booth presented council with a request to submit an application to UBCM’s FireSmart Economic Recovery Fund. The funds, if secured, would be used to “reduce surface fuels” on city-owned lots which have been identified in the CWPP (Community Wildfire Protection Plan). Governor Juan Alvarado, who retired here after his term of office ended, was an alcoholic!! To turn this beautiful, historic Adobe into a bar/pub/tap room is a travesty!! This is an important part of our Bay Area History; to dismiss its importance is a slap in the face of all who lived and live here.
