When you hear the word museum, science, art, and history usually come to mind, but luckily, some Midwest museums offer much more than just that.
All of those subjects are great for an educational museum visit, but you can switch things up and check out some of the most unique museums you can find in the Midwest.
National Mustard Museum - Middleton, Wisconsin
Calling all mustard lovers! The National Mustard Museum showcases over six thousand mustards from 50 states and more than 70 countries. Learn about the history of the sandwich condiment by visiting this FREE exhibit seven days a week, excluding certain holidays.
The Georgia Historical Society hosted a state-wide event on Sunday called Super Museum Sunday that allows visitors to explore museums and historic sites for free.
Remembering Bishop Henry McNeal Turner
Henry McNeal Turner (1834-May 8, 1915) was one of the most influential Black leaders of late 19th century Georgia. Turner was an influential pastor, one of the earliest Black legislators, a prolific writer, and a profound orator.
Born in South Carolina, he was never enslaved and received an education through the assistance of the law firm at which he was a janitor. After traveling the South as an itinerant evangelist, he was accepted as a pastor in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in 1858 and then pastored in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. In his churchyard in 1863, he helped organize the First Regiment of U.S. Colored Troops for which he mustered into service as their chaplain, serving in several battles in Virginia.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens is one of many sites in our area offering free admission for Super Museum Sunday.
Volunteer and Iris Expert Stan Gray has been hard at work preparing the gardens.
“When people see the colors and they see the saturations of color and just the stature of these plants, it’s going to be an experience unlike anything that they have had before. And so coming out this weekend, they’ll really be able to watch this bloom evolve and explode,” said Gray.
