Police say a car crash Saturday night in Atlantic City lead to two people being arrested on drugs and weapons charges.
According to Atlantic City Police, the crash happened around 6:30 Saturday evening at Mississippi and Arctic Avenues.
A press release says,
During the investigation, the occupants of one vehicle, Divier Silva and Ernesto Contreras-Jimenez, were arrested after each was found in possession of a loaded handgun. Silva’s handgun was equipped with a 30-round magazine. The officers also located more than nine ounces of marijuana in the vehicle.
Divier Silva, 25-years-old of Atlantic City, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, and possession of a large capacity magazine.

A pair of men from Atlantic County have been arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges after a Christmas weekend crash, authorities said.
At 6:33 p.m. on Saturday, Atlantic City Police Officer Danish Mohammad came upon a two-car motor vehicle crash at Mississippi and Arctic Avenues. Officer Tyler Daily of the city s Accident Investigations Section also responded.
The occupants of one vehicle, Divier Silva, 25, of Atlantic City and Ernesto Contreras-Jimenez, 20, of Pleasantville were arrested after each was found with a loaded handgun, according Lt. Kevin Fair, Atlantic City Police Department spokesman.
Silva’s handgun was equipped with a 30-round magazine, Fair said.The officers also found more than nine ounces of marijuana in the vehicle, he said.
