The tracker started by measuring the number Black and women experts that were speakers at government technology events and comparing those to U.S. population data. The U.S. population is 51 percent women and 13 percent Black. Now they’ve added trackers for the racial and gender make up of boards of directors of government contracting companies. SAIC clinches $830M Army recompete -- Washington Technology

By Ross Wilkers Feb 10, 2021 Science Applications International Corp. has reported its win of the potential $830 million recompete of its contract for engineering and integration services to support the Army’s aviation systems. SAIC booked the work as a task order through the General Service Administration’s OASIS professional services contract vehicle. Work will take place over up to five-and-a-half years, SAIC said Tuesday. The company will support manned and unmanned systems, subsystems, components and equipment. Work can extend to all branches of the military, other government agencies, research and development and education partners, universities and research centers and for foreign military sales.
