Cradle fund trial: Two mobile phones still in good condition, says witness

SHAH ALAM (Bernama): A witness in the murder trial of Cradle Fund chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan told the High Court on Friday (Feb 26) that the two mobile phones retrieved from the scene did not explode based on their physical condition. Former Selangor contingent police Headquarters weapons duty officer ASP (R) Mohd Sa ad Mat Nasib, 61, said checks on the mobile phones handed to him by investigating officer, ASP Mohd Nizam Daud found that both of the devices did not explode, as their battery was still intact. The 35th prosecution witness said that 90% of the first mobile phone was in good condition with burn marks spotted on it due to the heat of the fire, while the second mobile phone was badly burnt.

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is in third spot in patent filings and Universiti Malaysia at fourth, based on data from the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO), according to Top Glove. Last year, Top Glove’s R&D Centres filed 52 patent applications in Malaysia and 97 patent applications overseas. These were related to gloves, formers, dental dams, chemicals used in the glove industry and automation systems, which enhance product quality and improve the production efficiency.

NCBM celebrates CNY with first-ever online music concert

PETALING JAYA: In conjunction with Chinese New Year, the National Council for the Blind Malaysia (NCBM) celebrated the occasion with its first-ever online music concert. The musical performance was performed by the blind and visually impaired and was broadcast live on its Facebook page on Saturday (Feb 13). The concert kicked-off with a Chinese New Year medley put together remotely by blind and visually impaired musicians located at various locations. Throughout the 90-min concert, the musical performance featured various children and young adults performing on the piano, guitar, violin and other instruments to Chinese New Year tunes as well as pop songs.
