Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, former Senator and Special Assistant to erstwhile President Olusegun Obasanjo says where Cross River State governor, Senator Ben Ayade goes there she goes.
Ita-Giwa told Vanguard in Calabar on Thursday shortly after the governor defected to APC that the governor is the political leader in the state and she will always go where she leads.
“We have a leader in the state and wherever he moves to my loyalty is with him”.
Ita-Giwa who was a founding member of All Nigeria People’ Party, ANPP has moved between PDP and APC four times since 1999

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has disclosed that the Amotekun security outfit would soon be launched in the Yewa axis of the state, noting that his administration decided to launch the security outfit first in Yewaland because of the peculiar problems in the area.
Governor Abiodun made this known at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, while speaking on the herdsmen crisis in the areas.

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State on Wednesday signed the state’s 2021 Appropriation Bill into law.
Christened, “Budget of Blush and Bliss”, the 2021 budget has a total sum of N281.9 billion, a sharp reduction from the previous budget sizes of over 1.01trillion.
Governor Ayade, while speaking at the signing ceremony which held at the State Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office, Calabar, disclosed that the budget had made provisions for the establishment of a state polytechnic.
Apart from that, it also provides for social welfare schemes like grants and other financial benefits to help cushion the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the people.
