THREE online artists’ residencies have been launched to help people rediscover their creative side during lockdown. Each of the events – hosted by OnFife (Fife Cultural Trust) – will seek to inspire those whose imaginative impulses may have been dulled by COVID. The Scottish Government-backed initiative will also reach out to groups which have found outlets for self-expression hard to come by during the pandemic. Singer-songwriter David Latto, from Kirkcaldy, award-winning Leith-based drag artist Jordy Deelight and up-and-coming inter-disciplinary artist Eilidh Ellery, from Cellardyke, will each lead a four-week project. The initiative is supported by the Performing Arts Venue Relief Fund, which supports arts organisations unable to promote their regular activities because of the coronavirus pandemic.
