39-year-old man accused of sexually assault 7 family members

A 39-year-old man has been arrested on child sex charges and is accused of sexually assaulting multiple people.Alamance County deputies say they received a report from the Burlington Police Department in reference to a sexual assault case on Wednesday, April 28.According to BPD, the report indicated that approximately seven victims were sexually assaulted by a family member who was identified as Kenneth Ray King Jr. The Alamance County Sheriff s Office Special Victims Unit continued the investigation.On May 30, King, 39, of Graham, was charged and arrested for felony indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of felony first-degree sex offense with a minor. King was transported to the Alamance County Detention Center and given a $300,000 secured bond.

Alamance Sheriff s Office seizes large quantity of pills in recent investigation

On May 10, 2021, members of the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit and Special Operations Unit conducted a traffic stop on a 1994 Ford Explorer at 3539 S NC 87 Hwy. in Graham, NC.  The occupants of the vehicle were identified as John Ferguson and Elizabeth Moody.  The Street Crimes and Special Operations Unit were familiar with Mr. Ferguson and had received information that he was involved in the sale of methamphetamine. Both occupants gave consent to officers to search their vehicle.    During the search, methamphetamine residue, which tested positive in a presumptive field test, was found in a metal canister on a keychain. The vehicle also contained two packages postmarked from Great Britain addressed to Thompson Mill Road in Graham, NC, and two packages that were sealed in USPS bags.

Cary Kirk Griffin was convicted of two counts of resisting a public officer and one count of second-degree trespass. Elizabeth Duford was found not guilty of resisting a public officer. Avery Markel Harvey was convicted of disorderly conduct by impeding traffic, but not guilty of resisting a public officer. Rikeah Nashea Johnson was not guilty of resisting a public officer. 2 arrested in Graham protesting for justice in the police shooting death of Andrew Brown Jr. Brian Bennett Replay Video Two protesters were arrested Tuesday night in Graham as a small handful of demonstrators held up signs. According to police officers, they said the protesters needed a permit to protest. This comes as many around the Triad and the world are demanding transparency in the killing of Andrew Brown Jr. and the release of the full police body camera footage. Witnesses in Elizabeth City said Brown was unarmed and driving away when he was shot and killed by police, according to Brown s family attorney.
