A 61-year-old woman died days after police said a robbery attempt injured her and another man, Alameda Police said Thursday. The woman and a 28-year-old man sustained head injuries during a robbery attempt in front of 1919 Webster St. in Alameda on Friday April 6, police said. Suspect charged with kidnapping, domestic violence

On Monday, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged a suspect involved in a kidnapping and domestic violence incident.
A woman reported Jan. 18 that she was a victim of domestic violence by Losvel Bethea, a 32-year-old San Francisco man, according to Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Officer Byron White. Bethea was identified as the suspect, and during the evening of the reported incident, he kidnapped the woman, according to a BPD Nixle alert.
While Bethea drove the woman around the city of Berkeley, he battered and sexually assaulted her, the alert added. Bethea then stole her car after the woman was able to escape from the vehicle.
