IDEG calls for amendment of Assets Declaration Act

He described the provision as problematic because it did not allow adequate time for public office holders to compile all their assets prior to the assumption of office. “For many people, they have the assets, but they have not compiled them and, therefore, need time to do that. It is very difficult to do all that before you assume office,” he said.
