Greenville County deputy who shot armed man cleared in internal probe

The Greenville County deputy who shot an armed man who was on the roof of an apartment complex March 6 has been cleared of wrongdoing after an internal investigation, Sheriff Hobart Lewis said in a video posted Tuesday. One deputy fired a single shot at the man, later identified by the Greenville County Sheriff s Office as 32-year-old Tyson Devlin Moody. Moody was on a roof at Pelham Village Apartments on Toscano Court just after 2 a.m. the day of the shooting. The identity of the deputy who fired the shot has not been disclosed by the Sheriff s Office. The deputy was investigated internally by the agency s Office of Professional Standards, Lewis said.
