Alexandra Park schoolchildren created a #AlexParkRocks pebble trail
Despite ongoing separation thanks to lockdown rules, the key worker children in Year 5 at Alexandra Park Junior School wanted to set something up to make the community feel more together.
During the final week before half-term, the schoolchildren created a #AlexParkRocks pebble trail.
Mrs Samantha Nicholson-Hickling, Year 5 teacher, said: Last lockdown, the painted pebbles seemed to be everywhere! We decided we wanted to bring our community back together, even though we are apart. Most of the children take their daily walks through Alexandra Park, so we thought we d create our pebbles and hide them in the park.

All the schoolchildren learned about the five ways to wellbeing
With most children still working from home, Children s Mental Health Week 2021 proved to be one of the most important ever.
Alexandra Park Junior School marked their days with activities at home and at the site itself.
All children learned about the five ways to wellbeing: Be active, keep learning, connect, focus and give notice.
Each day, the school used their online learning platform to post activities, links and thoughts for the children to think about.
There has been some amazing work done towards being active, with most of the school bubbles heading to the park every day for the Daily Mile.
