Millions of Americans may not be getting their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, so some health care facilities are now trying to ensure people don t fall through the cracks.
Justin Chapman is just one example who recently moved to Charleston, South Carolina. Moving south from northern Virginia in the midst of a pandemic brought changes he really didnât expect.
âA lot of people here donât do any social distancing, they donât wear masks, and coming from an environment where compliance was essentially 100%, itâs a big culture shock, Chapman said.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Tidelands Health could be one step closer to bringing a hospital to the Socastee area.
Tidelands Health Carolina Bays Hospital would be located off Highway 707 and Highway 31. The hospital system is requesting to rezone about 82 acres in the area from Mobile Home Park and Highway Commercial to Inpatient Medical Services.
The ordinance on the rezoning request was placed under the consent agenda for Tuesday night’s Horry County Council meeting.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - The number of U.S. births has dropped for the sixth consecutive year and it’s the lowest number of births since 1979.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released data by NVSS showing how 2020 compared to previous years.
It shows births and fertility rates declined 4% last year from 2019.
Tidelands Health OBGYN Dr. Monica Selander said despite the national drop it’s hard to compare to what she’s seeing because of growth in the practice.
