A Mikado man was arrested for lying to police about who owned a truck the man declared was stolen.
In October, Jeremy Lee, 42, told police his former girlfriend had stolen his 2003 Dodge pickup. When police found the truck at the woman’s home, she told police it was hers and that Lee had put the truck’s title in his name without her permission, according to a police news release.
A police investigation followed, culminating in the arrest of Lee last week for false report of a felony and lying to a police officer after an investigator allegedly proved Lee titled the truck to himself, crossing the woman’s name off the title.
