ALBANY, N.Y. â Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy confirmed three additional COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday. The deaths included a woman in her 70s, a man in his 80s, and a man in his 90s. Those deaths brought the county death toll to 299 since the pandemic began being tracked last March.Â
âUnfortunately, Iâve had to report COVID-19 related deaths each day for the last eleven days. I pray for those Albany County residents we have lost and their families in this sad time,â McCoy stated regarding the latest virus victims.
The county executive also noted 150 new positive cases in the county. Encompassed within the new cases were 35 who had close contact with positive cases, one reported traveling out of state, 107 who did not have a clear source of infection at present, and seven who are healthcare workers or residents of congregate settings.
