Patients must be experiencing symptoms associated with covid-19 such as fever, shortness of breath and cough to receive a test across AHN collection sites. While the CDC recommends testing for asymptomatic individuals who may have been exposed to the virus, AHN is taking this measure to best ensure adequate testing supplies are available for those experiencing symptoms and the most vulnerable of patients. Marvel comic salutes Allegheny Health Network nurses

Print The comic book has proven so popular Allegheny Health Network plans to print 50,000 more. A video accompanying the comic’s release features the children of nurses getting their first look at the comic, as shown below. Nurses are often lauded as the heroes of the COVID-19 front lines. Now there’s a Marvel comic book illustrating their adventures. Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network worked with Marvel Comics and the Doner advertising agency to produce “The Vitals: True Nurse Stories,” inspired by the exploits of AHN nurses. The comic’s dedication page reads: “Dedicated to the more than 4,000 AHN nurses and their leaders who proved superheroes are anything but fiction.”
