Despite ripping his pants onstage in the middle of a performance, Lil Nas X says his Saturday Night Live debut was my favorite night of my career.
The 22-year-old singer had plenty of jokes on Twitter before getting sentimental about appearing on the show s Season 46 finale Saturday night. He performed Sun Goes Down and his recent hit Montero (Call Me By Your Name), during which a move on a dance pole appeared to cause a wardrobe malfunction. MY PANTS RIPPED, the musician tweeted after the show. i wanted to do my pole routine so bad this what i get.

Saturday Night Live stage over the weekend but ended up delivering an even more revealing performance than he planned.
The artist rocked a half-top and super tight leather pants for his first set of the night, performing Montero (Call Me By Your Name) while flanked by a legion of shirtless back-up dancers in what was one of the most memorable and sexually charged
SNL performances in recent memory.
The number was already super steamy with a ton of skin, lap dances and neck licking before Lil Nas X stepped up to the stripper pole to show off some of his moves. However, after dropping low and popping back up, the singer looked significantly surprised.

Saturday Night Live finally was able to put on an episode in front of a full audience. Hosted by Anya Taylor-Joy, the episode hosted a crowd full of vaccinated attendees in its Manhattan studio. And for the moment, Lil Nas X, the night s performer, pulled out all the stops.
Nas X performed his hit, much-discussed track Montero (Call Me By Your Name). It is the title track off of his upcoming debut album and marked a decisive turn for the signer. For the Saturday Night Live performance, which was his first performance of the song, Nas X teamed up with noted choreographer Sean Bankhead. And yes, he ripped his pants.
