Aylmer Police are preparing to lay charges following a breach of the province’s Emergency Orders Sunday morning at the Church of God in Aylmer.
At the drive-in service, Pastor Henry Hildebrandt encouraged people to leave their vehicles and eventually gather inside the church without masks.
Aylmer Police Chief Zvonko Horvat advises all individuals identified in a Facebook video will be charged.
The charge comes with an $880 fine and Aylmer Police are working with Southwestern Public Health to develop a strategy to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure in the community.
In addition, Aylmer Police will be seeking input from Public Health Unit to develop further mitigating strategies specific to this group to reduce the risk of exposure and harm within our community.
