The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) awarded Special Operations Accreditation on 19
th July 2021 to Kootenay Emergency Response Physicians Association (KERPA) in British Columbia.
KERPA is the first organization in Canada, and third in the world, to receive full Special Operations Accreditation through CAMTS.
CAMTS has over 25 years of experience as a leader in publishing standards and providing accreditation to medical transport systems. In 2019 it developed and approved the accreditation standards for agencies that support specialized medical operations for government and non-government agencies around the world.

College of DuPage will host the Fire Science and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Virtual Spotlight highlighting educational and career opportunities for those interested in entering the fire and EMS industry from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23.
This event is free and open to the public.
Hosted by COD s Fire Science program, the event will provide prospective students with an opportunity to learn about salary earning potential as well as two degree and two certificate options: the associate in applied science degrees in Fire Science Technology and Emergency Medical Services as well as the Firefighter and Paramedic certificates. The Fire Science Technology degree has been awarded national recognition through the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education Program (FESHE), which recognizes the College s adoption of standardized core courses and commitment to fire and EMS professional development.
