Sheridan County has approved an agreement and accepted funding for an Emergency Management Performance Grant from the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security.
County Emergency Management Coordinator Bruce Edwards explained to the commission what the grant funding will be used for.
The project period is from October of 2019 through September of 2021.
The grant amount is for just over $39,000.
The grant agreement is for funding to support the investment of inter-operable emergency communications.

According to information from the office of Wyoming Secretary of State Edward Buchanan, the grant funding is earmarked to address cyber vulnerability, voter registration systems and management, training, and voting equipment replacement and upgrades.
The amount of the grant award to the county is just over $31,000.
