Prince William has released a personal statement in tribute to his late grandfather Prince Philip on behalf of him and his wife Kate Middleton. Philip, the Queen s husband of 73 years, passed away peacefully on April 9, the Palace announced.
Featuring a never-before-seen photo of Philip with William s oldest son Prince George, the Instagram offered a rare glimpse into the Cambridges relationship with the Queen s husband. The Duke of Cambridge wrote in the caption:
My grandfather’s century of life was defined by service – to his country and Commonwealth, to his wife and Queen, and to our family.
