Aero K selectedÂ Cheongju International Airport, which is located southÂ of South Korean capital Seoul, as the base for its flight operations. Back in 2016, the German company Intro Aviation invested in the airline. But Aero K only received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in December 2020 – about two years later than originally planned. The low-cost carrier had already received its first of three second-hand Airbus A320 jet in February of last year.Â The aircraft was previously flying for Alaska Airlines and is already 14 years old. In 2007, it was delivered to Virgin America, which merged with Alaska Airlines three years ago.
