WEST BLOOMFIELD, N.Y. (WHEC) A high-pressure gas main rupture caused alarm with a loud, explosive noise in West Bloomfield Saturday night.
The Ontario County Sheriff s Office says the noise was heard across several townships.
The West Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Department said it happened off of Pond Road near Honeoye Creek, and the automated shut down of the pipeline worked just as it was supposed to.
There were no injuries, but the pipeline was lifted up out of the ground due to the pressure.
