27 May, 2021 — Pita Pit is now providing more than 45,000 school lunches a week to approximately 11,000 children at 50 schools across the country. There are 88 locally-owned and operated Pita Pit stores in New Zealand and the business has become an approved .
Another 5131 tests were carried out on Thursday.
The ministry says after the Government announcement on Thursday night of an extended pause on quarantine-free travel between New Zealand and Victoria, contact tracers have emailed about 5000 people who travelled between them before the border closed. The email instructed them to get a test and self-isolate at home or in the accommodation they are staying in until they have a negative result, a press release reads. It also instructed them to contact Healthline on 0800 358 5453 if they need further advice or to report if they had been at a location of interest. About 500 of those 5000 people were unable to be reached by email and are being followed up with phone calls and texts.
