Rachel Geliamassi, the new managing director of Stagecoach in Oxfordshire Stagecoach has appointed Rachel Geliamassi as new managing director of its operations throughout Oxfordshire and in the west of England. She replaces Chris Coleman as managing director of Stagecoach in Oxfordshire, which runs the Oxford Tube coach service to the capital. Ms Geliamassi, 39, will take up the role with immediate effect. She joined Stagecoach as part of its graduate training scheme in 2007 and has been operations manager at a number of locations around the country before becoming operations director of Stagecoach West in 2014.

The Oxford Tube in High Street Stagecoach s Oxford Tube service now has a new ticket and journey planning app, enabling easier travel on the upgraded fleet of coaches. Just launched, the new Oxford Tube app delivers a choice of tickets and enhanced features to help passengers plan their trips to the capital. Karen Coventry with the new Oxford Tube app Designed to make travelling between Oxford and London hassle-free, the new app offers a simple journey-planning tool, which uses interactive maps and the smart phone’s GPS system to help customers identify their nearest coach stop.

Karen Coventry, director at Stagecoach in Oxfordshire, which manages the Oxford Tube, said: “We are thrilled to be able to share with our customers that the Oxford Tube will be returning at the end of this month. The government’s roadmap has enabled us to implement a timetable which provides our passengers with a good level of service and will see us through the gradual easing of restrictions and the reopening of non-essential retail which will follow in April. “We have received a number of enquiries regarding when the service will return, not just from customers but from ours drivers too who have been eager to get back behind the wheel of our new coaches.
