School bus services have been updated School bus services have been updated by Oxford Bus Company ahead of the wide reopening tomorrow. The city 35A school service will run for use by pupils returning to the Matthew Arnold School. This bus and the city3B will be operating slightly later in the morning to align with Matthew Arnold School’s revised opening times. Extra capacity will be added to the U1 service at key times, operating between Oxford High Street and Wheatley campus. This is designed to allow social distancing as demand for services increases. Minor timetable changes will also be made to city 4A and city4C services between Abingdon and Oxford on Mondays to Fridays.

A Stagecoach bus in Oxford High Street Stagecoach in Oxfordshire is boosting local bus services from Sunday to prepare for schools reopening. The majority of services will return to the timetables in place at the beginning of the year, which mirrored the services running prior to the onset of the pandemic in March 2020. Karen Coventry, commercial director for Stagecoach Oxfordshire, said: “The government’s four-step roadmap offering a route back to a more normal life was welcome news for everyone and we are delighted to be able to look forward and return most of our services to their usual frequencies.
