The waste that Joshua Salter paid £25 to have disposed of Picture: VWHDC A PINEHURST man who paid £25 to get rid of household waste walked from court with a £500 bill after the load was flytipped in Shrivenham. The waste, which included an old sofa, toys and garden waste, was dumped in Station Road and reported to the local council on June 12 last year. The Vale of White Horse District Council said the flytipped rubbish was traced to a Swindon man. He told council staff that 28-year-old Joshua Salter had removed the waste in return for a scrap BMW.

Stalker admits filming and following a woman A MAN has admitted stalking a woman after filming her and following her. Craig Baughan also set up a series of unwanted social media accounts to harass her and turned up at her children s school. The 40-year-old of Whittington Crescent, Wantage, appeared in the dock of Oxford Magistrates Court on March 26 charged with stalking between October 8 and 18 in Abingdon. He also admitted assault by beating of a man in Grove on October 14. He was sentenced to a community order and as part of that must take part in an activity for 17 days. He has also been made subject to a restraining order and must not contact the victim directly or indirectly for two years.
