TSC Shortlists 33,000 Teachers for Interviews; How to Pass

In a statement to the media, TSC explained that the interviews were scheduled to take place between February 8 and February 19. The interviewees will not need to travel to Nairobi, but the commission will go out to all counties and meet shortlisted teachers there, said TSC CEO Nancy Macharia.

The list excludes members of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) following a protracted battle with the commission.

Teaching and Learning in the Context of COVID-19 and other Emergencies; Implication for Teachers’ Professional Development.”
He said that the conference would provide a platform for registered teachers to share experiences and learn from experts on how they were able to manage teaching and learning.
According to him, they will also acquire new knowledge and skills from the wide array of selected speakers who will speak on the theme and sub-themes of the conference.
While saying COVID-19 dealt a major blow on the education system, the TRCN boss said the conference which would be declared open by Minister of Education,

SUBEB, UBEC train 3,552 teachers in Oyo

THE Oyo state universal basic education board, (OyoSUBEB) in collaboration with Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, has concluded training of 3, 552 teachers in primary schools under its Teachers’ Professional Development Programme.
The Executive Chairman, OyoSUBEB, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, in a chat with newsmen in Ibadan, said that the training was structured to herald the new academic session in the state.
Adeniran also said the training which was also structured to enhance teachers’ capacity and teaching efficiency in the new session.
Dr. Adeniran further said the training of teachers would enable them to provide quality education to primary school pupils at primary level.

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has revealed that about 400,000 teachers and education practitioners have so far registered for its maiden edition of National Conference of Registered Teachers.
The Registrar/Chief Executive of TRCN, Prof. Olusegun Josiah Ajiboye, made this known while addressing newsmen in Abuja Thursday.
He said the online conference scheduled for January 25 and 26, 2021, has as its theme “Teaching and Learning in the Context of COVID-19 and other Emergencies: Implication for Teachers’ Professional Development.”
While saying COVID-19 dealt a major blow on the education system, the TRCN boss said the conference, which will be declared open by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, will chart an effective safe teaching system amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
