MARQUETTE In honor of National Mental Health Awareness Month, Peter White Public Library hosts Dr. Kia Jane Richmond for its Authors Reading Virtually series. Richmond will read from and discuss her book “Mental Illness in Young Adult Literature: Exploring Real Struggles through Fictional Characters.” Join in for a thought-provoking evening focused on books and mental health at 7 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom.

MARQUETTE This month, for Peter White Public Library’s Authors Reading Virtually series, two-time U.S. Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey will read from her work and participate in a Q&A at noon Saturday via Facebook livestream.
This event is free and open to the public, but donations to the Women’s Center of Marquette are graciously accepted. Suggested donations: $15.
