In Adams County Circuit Court Monday, 36 year old Michelle Lewis was sentenced to four years’ probation and 364 days of periodic imprisonment in the Adams County Jail.
Lewis pleaded guilty last September to one count of theft over $10,000.
Lewis was front end manager for the Quincy Menards in May of 2019 when Quincy Police were contacted by Menards corporate security about an internal theft.
An investigation revealed Lewis, over a period of nearly five years, printed receipts almost 90 days old, entered return and took the cash, to the tune of over $639,000.
Lewis was also ordered to pay restitution.
