Health officials urging not to give in to pandemic fatigue

HOLLAND As the pandemic stretches into its second year, health experts say overall fatigue from the pandemic is natural, but it s still too early for people to let their guard down.  Maintaining health precautions is particularly important as Michigan enters its third surge of COVID-19 cases. State and local health data shows more young people are contracting the virus than they previously have. And while older, more vulnerable populations get the COVID-19 vaccine, officials still say it s important for everyone else to remain vigilant.  We re absolutely not in a position to decrease our carefulness, said Rachel Ellens, infection control coordinator at Holland Hospital.
