So by doing things like this simulator and online training, we re providing them an opportunity to practice those skills in a low-risk environment where a failure doesn t hurt anybody.
In the third phase, officers go through different scenarios on the simulator to see if any improvements are made after training.

Two former Anderson County Detention Center employees have been arrested and charged by the State Law Enforcement Division in the death of an inmate in October of 2020, according to the Anderson County Sheriff s Office and SLED.
Milton Brady Wilson, 28, and Chancelor Stephen Lee Saxton, 26, were each charged with involuntary manslaughter, along with misconduct in office, according to warrants. They have been booked into the Abbeville County Detention Center.
Robert Dale Robertson, 55, of Easley, was being booked into jail Oct. 17 when he suffered cardiac arrest after sustaining a fall, Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown said in an October 2020 Independent-Mail article.

ANDERSON, S.C. Authorities are asking for the public s help to find a missing Upstate teen who they may be in danger.
Deputies say 17-year-old Catherine Jayla Eaton ran away from a home on Blueberry Lane in Anderson, and they believe she may be in danger.
Eaton is believed to have left her home sometime between 10:45 p.m. on May 4 and the early morning hours of May 5. Eaton may be in Union County, SC, as she was recently spotted in Jonesville, according to Anderson County deputies.
Eaton, who has light brown hair and hazel eyes, is 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. She also has freckles on her face and a tattoo on her right hip that reads “love.” She was last seen wearing a tie-dyed shirt, black shorts and white tennis shoes.
