A COVID-19 survivor reunited with the team of medical professionals who saved his life.
At one point, doctors at the Knapp Medical Center gave Jaime Peralez Jr. less than a 10% chance of survival, but he pulled through, and now he’s thanking them.
Peralez Jr. recalls the moment he left the hospital after his battle with the virus. After almost 40 days of fighting, he remembers putting his fist in the air as his family cheered.

Beloved friend and mother Betty Jean Blooflat was called home by her Lord Jesus Christ on April 25, 2021.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at First Lutheran Church, Bemidji with Pastor Linnea Papke-Larson officiating. A Time of Sharing will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Betty is survived by her children Allen (Rosa) Blooflat Jr., Daniel Blooflat, Kathy (Ed) Satko and Todd (Mary Jo) Blooflat; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen and her daughter Bonnie. As a beloved mother she prayed and supported her children faithfully. Her kind loving example left an example for all to follow.
