The program comes from MyndVR, which aims to improve quality of life for older adults. MyndVR has collaborated with Stanford University s Virtual Human Interaction Lab to study VR s effects on people for two decades. Stanford selected Maple Knoll Village as one of the retirement communities to participate in this study.
Vice President of Marketing and Development for Maple Knoll Megan Ulrich knows VR is improving lives. Where we really see this having a huge benefit is also in our assisted living and in skilled nursing, she says. So those individuals have been on restrictions because of COVID over the past year and a half so they have not gotten a chance to go out.

(Davenport, IA) Scott County Catholic Schools have announced a new Tuition Transfer Credit program.
The coalition of Catholic elementary schools in Davenport and Bettendorf, as well as Assumption High School, says the TTC program was created to give a $1,500 tuition grant over two years. The grants are for students entering 1st through 8th grades this fall, who are not currently enrolled in a Catholic school.
“We have an outstanding community inside our schools and our test scores outpace those of our peers. We don’t want tuition to be an obstacle for families whose children could benefit from a Catholic school education,” said Andy Craig, President of Assumption High School.

After nearly six decades of expansion, Crawford Packaging which started in founder Dick Crawford’s apartment in London, Ont., in 1963 now has three warehouse facilities in Ontario, along with distribution centres in Alberta, Texas, Georgia and Mexico. The way current president John Ashby sees it, the company has just “followed our customers to help them grow.”
Crawford provides packaging-automation equipment, materials (like stretch film, packaging tape and corrugated cardboard) and training support to businesses in a variety of markets, including industrial manufacturing and food processing. The 125-strong team works with clients to assess their existing packaging practices and equipment in order to find ways to raise productivity and reduce costs.
