ANN ARBOR, MI - Ann Arbor Public Schools will remain in remote learning as district leaders continue to stress the need to reduce the rate of COVID-19 in the community before bringing teachers and students back into the classroom.
Superintendent Jeanice Swift indicated the district would not be committing to a date for return during AAPS’ board meeting Wednesday, Feb. 10, noting the district has now been in the remote learning format for nearly 11 months since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak.

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater lady Cardinal gymnastics team had their home opener Wednesday night in a double dual meet against Monroe High School and Ann Arbor Skyline High School. Coldwater won both matchups with a team Regional qualifying score of 132.925. Monroe was second with over 124 points, followed by Ann Arbor Skyline at 26.425.
The Cardinal home opener each year is dedicated as the Jillian Crist Memorial meet. Even though COVID-19 protocols made things a bit different this year, the gymnasts still collected more than two dozen bottles of ketchup to donate to the food pantry in her honor.  Announcer Mark Crist and his wife Louise were on hand to award two gymnasts the Miss ConâJillyâlity award as a thank you to the team for keeping Jillian’s memory alive. This year Karley Knisely and Abby Travelbee were both recognized.

Michigan has assistant coaches again, which means they get to recruit again. It’s been a minute since an update so we’ll go over the shape of the end of 2021 recruiting, then give an overview of 2022 recruiting and, if there’s anything available, transfer recruiting.
The Xavier Worthy Question
It appears Michigan has dodged a self-inflicted bullet here. Admissions decided not to let him enroll early for some reason nobody including Worthy seems to understand. Both Rivals and 247 have noted Worthy was the first of Michigan’s class to graduate his high school, and did so with a 3.5 GPA. Via Worthy himself he is in Ann Arbor, and is being patient with whatever’s going on over in tweedville.
