Peterborough Elementary School students are about to start fundraising for an outdoor classroom by pledging acts of kindness. The fundraiser, called the Raise Craze, has each participating student make their own list of different acts of kindness to do over a two-week span, such as writing a thank-you note to first responders or donating a care package for the homeless. They then ask for sponsors to donate to their cause, and “pay it forward,” organizer Andrea Petrone said, by completing the acts of kindness on the honor system.
