Coös Family Health honors staff March 03, 2021BERLIN On the evening of Thursday, Feb. 26, the staff and board of directors of Coös County Family Health gathered online to recognize the milestone anniversaries and outstanding performance of staff during the past year. Family Health is the main provider of primary medical care in the Androscoggin Valley region, and has served the community for more than 46 years. During the past year, agency staff have worked closely with health and social service providers throughout the region to ensure the community s needs were met during the Covid-19 pandemic. After introductory remarks by Board President, H. Guy Stever, and Chief Executive Officer, Ken Gordon, several staff were recognized for their outstanding achievements.

Executive Council approves grant for Riverlands project

SHELBURNE — “I was just doing my due diligence; I had a bunch of questions about the Riverlands project,” District 1 Executive Councilor Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield) said when asked why at the Feb. 3 governor and Executive Council meeting he had tabled a motion on a grant for the Androscoggin Riverlands Project. “My attention is drawn whenever I see a large swath of land in my district being transferred where state dollars are involved,” he said at an interview on Feb. 19 at the Town & Country Inn. Kenney tabled a motion authorizing the N.H. Department of Environmental Services to award a $761,668 Aquatic Resource Mitigation Fund grant to the Maine-based Mahoosuc Land Trust.
