Alana Habergham-Rice with her cookbook which will help raise money for Sheffield Hospitals Charity.
Alana Habergham-Rice, 13, who has autism, has been creating her caring cakes to cheer people up for seven years.
Her new cookbook – Cakes to make you smile, from the heart of Sheffield – continues her fundraising for a good cause.
She chose the hospitals charity, which she has supported for several years, in gratitude for the medical care shown to her close friend, Nick Challenger, in his recent battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Nick was treated at the Royal Hallamashire Hospital and eventually given the all-clear. But that is not where the story ends….he and his family and friends decided that they wanted to pay back the treatment and Alana wanted to do her bit.
