Specialist doctors and anaesthesia technicians are required to work in COVID hospitals. Interested candidates may submit their applications and attend walk-in interviews at the office of the Principal, Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, along with their qualifications and experience certificates from May 16 during office hours.
The remuneration is as per the COVID Instant Order 70, according to a statement issued by AMC Principal P.V. Sudhakar.

Relatives allege hospital staff asked her to get tested for COVID before admission
A woman delivered a baby outside the Rural Health Centre(RHC) at Simhachalam here on Thursday. The woman, who was in an advanced stage of pregnancy, was taken to the hospital. The hospital staff reportedly asked her to get tested for COVID-19 before admission.
The woman delivered the baby as she waited for the test. The mother and baby were sent to the King George Hospital (KGH) in the city for neonatal care. Her relatives alleged negligence on the part of the staff as she was made to wait despite being in an advanced stage of pregnancy.

The mention of
‘mucormycosis’, or ‘black fungus’ as it is commonly known, is creating a scare among the people, especially among those who have battled COVID-19 with oxygen support for long.
It is akin to the fungus that develops on bread due to moisture if stored for long.
The detection of a few cases of black fungus in a couple of States in the North, and now in Hyderabad, is causing fear among the people.
